Ocgrow creating a special vibe in Greystone

There's a special vibe being created in the new Greystone community, fuelled by a vision held close by Harish Consul, CEO and founder of the Ocgrow Group.

The large pond feature is beginning to teem with life and soon will include a fountain centrepiece. It's a reflection of what's to come.

Four weeks ago, they broke ground for flagship building of Greystone Place along its waterfront. It's scheduled to open in 2025. Seven more buildings will follow in a phased approach.

"We've had tremendous interest," says Consul. "For the last six months and since our grand opening, tenants from all over the country have been reaching out. We're being really selective in terms of the right tenant mix, the right mix of retail, restaurant, quick service restaurants as well as professional services. We announced a new daycare tenant, a new spa tenant, and other services will follow. It's all very exciting."

The spa is called Mana, whose proprietors previously operated at the Banff Spring Hotel.

"They've recently moved to Cochrane, so we're very excited to welcome them to Greystone Place."

He says to stayed tune.

"Soon we'll be announcing new commercial tenants and new retailers coming to Greystone Place. We're in negotiations with several new names that are coming to Alberta for the very first time."

Just a block away, the first of two buildings forming Vertos is taking shape. In combination, they will offer 150 luxury townhomes.

The first of the 150 luxury townhomes of Vertos are nearing completion.

"The first possessions are at end of next month. By the end of July, you'll see a lot of people living in stacked townhouses overlooking a 10-acre park, being able to walk to the Spray Lake leisure center, walk around the pond, and the new pathways of Jefferson Plaza will be ready by the end of the summer."

Immediately behind Vertos is the future location of Terez that will offer 154 rental units to improve the housing stock of Cochrane.

Ocgrow is no stranger to Cochrane. They've been in Cochrane for 30 years, investing in different real estate assets, and they built River Heights Place on the south side. They are now the largest developer in Greystone.

"We've had huge support from the entire community. We're really trying to create a trendy, vibrant area."
